Introduce our Experience to Your Requirements

Employment Health Advisers (EHA), which was founded in 1992 and are the largest providers of occupational health and industrial hygiene services in Ireland. EHA serves over 50,000 employees in several hundred organizations, throughout its 5 offices of the Group.

The staff of 30 includes specialist occupational physicians, occupational health nurses, consultant and general ergonomists, industrial hygienists as well as support staff. EHA Soft Solutions is the software arm of EHA and was founded in 2002. The company employs 10 people. Based in Cork, the company also operates a sales office on Portugal.

We offer a range of training and consultancy services to support our product offering in the areas of occupational health and safety, industrial hygiene, food safety, environmental and quality management.

The two founding Directors of EHA, Dr. Martin Hogan and Dr. John Gallagher are also founding directors of EHA Soft Solutions, along with Dr. Dan Gallagher, who is also the Managing Director. The remaining two directors are Denis Kennedy and Redmond Anthony, who specialize in implementing large automated control systems as well as data collection, storage, and retrieval across manufacturing and quality systems. A brief resume of each of the Directors is presented below.
 

 

Dr. Dan Gallagher MIOSH, Managing Director


After finishing his Ph.D. at University College Cork, Dan continued his professional development by completing the Diploma in Safety, Health and Welfare at Work (1st Class honours with award), the Post-Graduate Diploma in Environmental Protection (1st Class honours) and the Certified Diploma in Accounting and Finance (ACCA).

He has gained vast experience, at senior level, in various multinational companies, and has a proven track record in initiating, creating and implementing safety (OHSAS18001), quality (ISO9001) and environmental (ISO14001) management systems to international standards and Integrated Pollution Prevention and Control (IPPC) requirements. Dan has developed the mai™ software to ensure that it will meet your requirements to make using the modules simple, efficient and effective.

He has been invited as a guest speaker at numerous safety and environmental conferences and has been appointed as an invited lecturer for UCC for the BE in Process & Chemical Engineering, BSc in Environmental Science, Diploma and Certificate in Safety, Health and Welfare at Work, Diploma in Construction Safety, Masters in Public Health.

He also provides training and consulting services for a national certification body for ISO14001 and OHSAS18001. He is a registered Greenhouse Gas Auditor under the EU Emissions Trading Scheme, as well as a Radiological Protection Officer and Dangerous Goods Safety Advisor.

 

 

Dr. Martin Hogan AFOM, FFOMI, Director


Martin is a Medical Doctor specialising in Occupational Medicine. He graduated in 1987 at UCC and trained as a specialist in Occupational Health in the University of Manchester, UK. He is the current national speciality Director in Occupational Medicine responsible for training specialist in Occupational Medicine.

Dr. Hogan lectures in Occupational Medicine and is a specialist trainer and examiner for the Faculty of Occupational Medicine of the Royal College of Physicians of Ireland. He sits in a number of expert committees in the Pharmaceutical industry, including Johnson and Johnson Europe. He is also a consultant occupational health advisor to the Health and Safety Authority in Ireland (OSHA equivalent in USA).

 

Denis Kennedy CMfgE, Director


Denis is an Automation Engineer with extensive knowledge of data collection, storage, and retrieval across manufacturing and quality systems. He is currently involved in a corporate rollout of a data gathering and information management project from Ireland to Puerto Rico and Texas. Denis is also founder and Managing Director of Integrated Control Solutions Ltd, a Cork based integrated solutions provider to Food, Beverage, Pharmaceutical and Healthcare Industries for SCADA and PLC’s. They are distributors for Allen Bradley/Rockwell Automation, SICK safety equipment and scanners, Wonderware (InTouch).
 

 

Redmond Anthony, Director


Redmond is an Electrical Controls and Software Engineer experienced in managing and implementing large automated control systems. Redmond has been responsible for turnkey projects for companies such as PepsiCo. (+ €1.5 million), Buckeye Technologies (+ € 1 million) and Pfizers (+ € 0.5 million). Redmond is also a founder Director of Integrated Control Solutions Ltd. with Denis Kennedy, a Cork based company employing 30 and with an annual turnover of € 2.5 million.
 

 

Dr. John Gallagher


Dr John Gallagher is a Specialist in Occupational Medicine. He is a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians of Ireland and a Fellow of the Faculty of Occupational Medicine of the Royal College of Physicians of Ireland. He has a Masters degree in Occupational Health from the Institute of Occupational Health University of Birmingham and was the inaugural John Darwall Prize winner there in 1991.

He has held a number of posts with the Faculty of Occupational Medicine including those of Vice Dean, National Specialty Director and he was elected Dean of the Faculty in 2004. Dr Gallagher has been in full time occupational medical practice since 1991 and has wide experience of occupational health in a variety of settings including internationally, he has been involved with the Faculty of Occupational Medicine examinations in Kuala Lumpur Malaysia for a number of years.

He is currently Managing Director of Employment Health Advisors, a multidisciplinary occupational health and safety consultancy established in 1992. He is the Head of the Occupational Health Department for the Health Services Executive Southern Area.

He is a College lecturer in Occupational Medicine at University College Cork and is the Academic Director of the Diploma in Safety, Health and Welfare at Work at the University. He is also an examiner and a Specialist Trainer for the Faculty of Occupational Medicine.He has published in a number of peer reviewed journals in the field of Occupational Medicine and contributes on a regular basis to periodicals and conferences nationally and internationally.
